how long have you had the car?
how long has the problem occured?
is it hard to start?
how many ks?
you will get a lot more info if you supply more details
I love the car, except when I look in the rear view mirror! I have replaced the air filter, put in new injectors, and just had the injector pump overhauled, and still buckets of dark smoke! has anyone got any suggestions??

had the car for one year. and it smoked when I got it so I replaced the injectors and the air filter. this did not make any difference at allI just had the pump done and it drives a lot lot better, but still smokes....
It starts at the turn of the key without fail, and it has done 201 000 k's.
Is the smoke a white colour? or is it the pure black stuff?
It is black.
The turbo has a nice truck like whistle to it does seem to work.

if its black its overfueling and possabley timed wrong.
your boost compensator might also be jammed at the full fuel position.
does the smoke ease off as engine speed increases?

thanks, the timing has been set with the pump fix and not made a difference.
Yes the smoke decreases as the speed increases...

When does it have the diesel cloud? is it all the time? only on start-up and when cold and pushing it hard up a hill or???
If its only doing it at lower RPMS and high loads then its been what Id call overcooked when the pump tweaking was done all thats happening is its overfuelling lightening up on the right boot is the instant fix.
