Thread: ANY OTHER ADVICE

The 1996 300TDI Auto I am looking at buying has 330,000 ks on it seems to go ok and comperes to others I have driven with much less mileage. Owner says head recently recoed and it appears that way as very clean around that area. One owner vehicle but no service history except verbal. Disco in ACT at sons house and owner in QLD. Should be able to buy it for about $3800 with plenty of rego tyres good etc. needs new windscreen (any idea how much) he will provide new injector. Is it a big job to change P gasket? I am competent on the spanners. Any advice about what to look for will be greatly appreciated.

You found a 1996 for 3.8k in good nick / the head changed / drives better than what you have test driven before
