You're probably right, I have never had them before and I hav'nt been off road yet.

The thing is they don't help in any way getting into or out of the vehicle,so they are just for show for sure.

Do you have any opinions spring wise or shocks concerning lifting it??????

As I said before I am after a soft ride more than beefing it up to tow caravans

I've got some +2" Lovells springs (got them from Shane at "suspensionstuff" too, great bloke to talk to about suspension).

After lots of advice and searching around, going to install them with my standard shockers and see how we go. Have been in touch with loads of people with that setup with D2's and most say there's no issues.
Shane also told me the same, and says he's not had any negative come backs with that setup.

Not sure if this applies to your D1 though, sorry.

Just give him a shout (07 3472 5215) and see what he says. He's happy to talk about options well before you're prepared to commit to a purchase.
