The drive train is built to take 750 16's so no it wont be too bad for wear BUT 265 75 16 is a bit wider and back before I fitted the 235 80 16s I fitted up a 265 75 16 (standard size on GQ patrol, nice and easy to get) but it hit the guard lip on the front when turning but it looked good.
I think without flares, 245 would be about as wide as I would go.
It starts loading wheel bearings and stuff when you start playing with offset and wide tyres.

Yeah they will do that, you can adjust the stops.
You lose a little bit of lock but not all that much![]()
I went for 265/75R16 (~32") Mickey Thompsons and had to make some adjustments to the rear guards. Ended up cutting quite a bit out, the simple 45deg 'camel cut' was not enough for high articulation. Also touched on the front edge of the rear guard which had to be rolled under a bit more.
Front tyres hit the radius arms as mentioned, but easy to correct with adjustable lock stops. Turning circle goes from being fantastic to on par with most other 4x4s. (lost about 1/4 turn at steering wheel)
Speedo is obviously out by around 10% now, just in the process of procuring a replacement speedo gear. I think going down 2 teeth on the driven gear should do it.
The gearing does suffer, most noticeable when making a hill start. Takes a bit more clutch slipping to get moving especially if you have some load on or trailer etc. 4th gear gets a lot more use on the highway as well, 5th isn't enough if there is a slight hill. Still perfectly driveable, given that it was no sports car to begin with. (3.5, V8i, 5SM)
Oh, and I wrote to insurance before fitting tyres to get their blessing, so now I have in writing that I am covered. Might not be bullet proof but should help in the event of a claim. In my opinion the car is far safer with softer 265's than the hard as steel, flatspotted 205's that were fitted!

sjane pics would be great if you have them, done the run around today and the 4rib mt i wanted is dearer than the 5 rib does anyone run iether if so what are they like, ill be doing a lot of town driving but also weekend stuff, i know 2 sets would be the go but i dont want to do that, im more after an aggresive at as for size im happy with a 31(225/75) but if i can run a 32(265/75) i will
I run 235/85, they fit well, but with slight rubbing in the rear on articulation, just need a small trim.
Oh and we call them tyres, not tires![]()

im set on the mt 4rib atz they are an agressive at, i have an auto so i hope the gearing will be ok, not worried about cutting and rolling guards, ill prob do a 2in lift but no morehoping to get em on next week
Hi people I have just stepped into my first landy and fell in love looking at lifting and putting larger rubber on have bin informed that 245/70/16 are as big as you can go is this correct.
I had 4 rib ATZ Mickey T's on my old Ford Explorer, which are almost a mud tyre in fact some people call them muddies. They where great on anything other than wet tar i.e. wet round-about's & taking off on wet hills from lights - just had to learn not to give as much boot LOL
As far as I know 4 & 5 rib are only the ATZ's not MTZ's, just me but![]()
