Are you trying to replace the viscous coupling itself with an electric coupling or fitting electrically driven fans?

Either way, this might help (just a search on Falcon & Fan):

electrically driven fans to reduce noise and increase power.

I have been looking at the fans available in auto stores but when you asking about them they know nothing about them or how to set them up etc.

I changed my D1 viscous fan to electric. V8 89 auto. Impression was slight power increase and lower noise levels. On the power increase side you see a difference from take off, no change once you were under way and cruising. Benefit was for stop start city/suburban driving. Worked just fine and survived a big 5K remote trip including some desert work and high temps. Was it worth it?. Subjective. Main motivator for me was noise levels in stop start city driving with viscous setup. Final outcome was not keeping the shiney side up just at the end of a 3 week adventure and "big red" was written off. No injuries to occupants. Current Landrover chariot is 2003 TD5. Viscous fan noise no longer a consideration with diesel. Previous setup was single electric fan (size can not remember but filled radiator vertical space), slight modification to original shroud and thermo mechanical temp sensor to switch in and out.

    Probably a 16".

That's what I did as well. Much better mpg & I wired it separately so it would continue to run for a while after switch off.

Teed the Intermotor switch into the top hose.
