Hi, In a 98 D1 300Tdi - where are the air con drains?
I've searched through many threads, and the best I can find is under the car on either side of the tunnel.
I've looked and can't find them, and when the AC is running I can't see any drips either.
Can someone please describe exactly where I should be looking, or maybe even a photo if someone has one to hand.

They are hard to see, but get under there with a torch and have a feel with your fingers, you should feel a couple of rubber fingered plugs, these block up.
Note they are not long tubes sticking out but small rubber fingered plugs. From memory you have to reach quite far up into the sides of the transmission tunnel.
From memory (last time I was under my 1996 D1): The drivers side one drips onto the front tailshaft about 150mm from the transmission uni joint. The passenger side one drips onto the ground about 150mm behind the firewall, on the side of the transmission tunnel.

Don't look for hoses hanging out but look for pointy "grommets" which are sort of recessed into the tunnel. A bit like a horse pizzle/foreskin if you like.Pointy pliers & pull them right out. Clean them & replace.

4bee you must have a posh one...
Maybe different in the 300 but as attached - passenger side - you can see the exhaust downpipe on the left - above it is the aircon drain on a '92 200tdi D1.
300 tdi are different a/c entirely to 200 tdi. Twin nippley thingies on 300.

If no drips, is your front floor carpet wet? There is always water if the aircon is is working properly. If so, the drip hoses may not have been replaced correctly at some time?
