Question 3.9 Air box tube ?

Where does the small tube that comes of the top side of the air box, connect to on the motor.
Got a new donk and discovered the rubber tube hanging loose at the fire wall.

Can some one follow it back to the engine and see where its suposto go. On ours the left hand rocker cover vent is conected up to a diaphram of sorts (not the cruise control).

I think it should be manifold vacuum for the fuel pressure regulator.

    It shouldn't go anywhere.
It is the inlet for the crankcase ventilation and should have a little air cleaner sitting on top.
Someone must have broken it and just repalced it with a bit of hose.

Just put a Ryco fuel filter on the end, or if you are keen the proper little filter is pretty cheap from specialists.

    So many tubes

    So little time!

(I was removing a Disco V8 yesterday (transmission today) for a Series project and have been wondering how I'm going to get all the tubes and wires back together in the correct place.)

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Thanks for the knowledge and photos, it was a puzzle that had me looking at that motor for hours.
