Surely you can do better than this potential [probable] time bomb by purchasing privately for around the same money and in far better condition.

They are advertising it as a Disco 2. Its actually a Disco 1.
In my experience and from what I have heard, I would steer clear of anything without a service history.

At Melbourne Pickles near on 2 weeks ago, a white D2 with 140xxx kms went for 8k, and it was a nice nice thing, TD5 Auto.

This is a discovery 1 not Discovery II as stated in the details. Warning light is the ABS light... could be wheel sensor or modulator. Appears to need new tyres (from the vehicle condition report). Steering wheel seems to be coming apart (from the photo). Only one key? another remote will cost around $200.00.
I would keep looking unless you get it really cheap and are happy to spend some money on it.

As said, the orange light is the ABS light, but this is not necessarily a concern, it won't go off until the vehicle has gone over about 5mph/8kmh so if they've just turned the key it SHOULD still be on.

But with no log books or service history, I think you'd be better to keep looking.

oops, forgot about the ABS. Seano87 is correct. It does go off when you travel above 5kmh. Also, the SRS light should go out approx. 5 secs after the ignition is turmed on unless there is a problem.
