Thread: Hi idle on 93 Disco 3.5 V8

unplug the stepper motor and what dose it do?

the road speed transducer also has a bearing on the idle speed.

this is abit hard to nut out if you cant see the car and dont know the history of it and its owner.

we could be pointing in the wrong direction...

Unplug stepper .... THEN start motor ....

Transducer located Passenger side of chassie rail
Speedo cable goes to chassie .... Transducer is a Box about the size of "2 match boxes" ....Wires come out of it ...disconnect the wires

...... I don't think it is the Transducer tho /// Can't hurt tho


Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes
