shocks for my D1
Just a question,
Does anyone run the Gas Desert Fox or the Gas Ironman shocks on their cars.
Would like to know how they compare with the Bilsteins/Kings.
Thanks

Hi
I had some monroe stuff one time on my RRC and they were as new.
The guy raved about them and once I went for a drive, I was sure he must have been on drugs.
They were woeful.
Pulled them out for Bilstein and Lovell springs from memory.
made 200% improvement.
Still have Bilstein in current set-up.
great choice.

Haven't got my set yet, but there are a few others running Lovells shocks from Suspensionstuff and very happy with them.
Might be an alternative if you don't want to fork out the $$$ for Bilsteins.

My car had Ironman Shocks with King Springs when I bought it... apparently relatively new (they certainly looked it). My car cops a flogging, and they were dead very very quickly. I personally found them to be horrible, so I wouldn't buy them. I think there are better quality products for the $$$
I would consider Ridepro - I've had good experiences with them.
Don't know anything about desert fox ect.
Konis / Billies are great - have had both on different cars (County / Disco)
Cheers
Dave.

Bilstiens aren't really expensive when you take into account that they will last at least twice as long as the cheapies and when they do wear out they can be rebuilt, Regards frank.
