DISCO 1 - BLinkers Not WOrking

    1995 Disco LR V8 Petrol :

My blinkers do not work (click or appear in lense).

These stopped working after I extracted my A/C front control unit and then re-inserted it to repair it.

I fear it may have something to do with above sentence...

Also, the one of 3 A/C wires still need to be hooked up somehwere under the dash. Can you tell me where this one fits?

Can you advise with above queries?

    Hi Klappers.

I do not know which wire under the dash is the one for the blinkers...

What colour should the wire be?

have you tried turning your hazards on to see if they work in that circuit.

And I apologise if I'm teaching you to suck eggs only asking because you haven't mentioned. Have you checked the fuse hasn't blown

    Thanks Dullbird.

Have not checked hazards yet. Will do so if you care to hand around at this hour of the morning :-) Give me 10 mins and I'll defintiely return with a resposne.

Not a dumn question, but yes I have checked the fuse - all OK.

    SUCCESS!

Thank you Dullbird for the reminder.

I forgot to re-connect the indicator 8 pin socket back into it's female hole on the hazards.

As soon as I re-connected it, indicators worked!

Now, what about that pesky third hard wire (with a little coil profile at end) that comes from the A/C unit?

It connects somewhere under the dash - but do not know where...

    Help?

Still need the colour of this hard wire....

You have a couple of things..

You have one join from compressor clutch to a Black green wire which then runs into the clutch relay for the ac

You have a yellow black wire that joins into the A/C dual pressure control

You have a yellow black wire that joins into the condenser fan control diode (this should have a purple black colour wire coming out the other side) which then go to the cooling fans...

or it could just be the earth
one of which come out of the ignition load relay box

    THanks Klappers.

This is not an electrical wire.

It is the steel wire that comes from the A/C modular box to actuate the airbox under the dash.

I have located where this steel wire is supposed to be connected.

It is supposed to be mounted on side of air box over a little steel stud (approx 10-12mm) that protrudes out from side.

Unfortunately, I think this stud is spring actuated and I do not have this spring.

Can anyone suggest a method of fastening this steel wire back onto side of airbox?
