Just checked the RAVE diagram and it does only list fuse 5 in satellite box 2 as providing power. I never remember which satellite box is which (I think 2 is the top one) but just in case you didn't know there are 3 fuse 5s.
I recently discovered the factory fitted sunroof on my Disco also came fitted with the optional "Leaky Sunroof Module" (part number unknown).
As the sunroof is seldom used and since the sunroof has also recently started opening when you remove the keys from the ignition again - an intermittent problem - I decided that I would disable it and get busy with the silicon sealant.
A quick look in the owners manual and the RAVE CD shows that Fuse 5 in Satellite 2 fuse box is for the sunroof.
"Excellent!" I think to myself. "A quick and easy way to disable the sunroof!"
I removed the fuse and was filled with confidence that I had disabled the sunroof. Fuse 5 in satellite 2 only does the sunroof and the only thing that does the sunroof is fuse 5 in satellite 2. According to the book anyway.
With the fuse removed I tried the sunroof controls. The sunroof opened as before as if the fuse was in place.
WTF? Why is this happening? I don't want to try each fuse to see which powers the sunroof out of fear of buggering something else up.
I am quite used to things not working when they should but working when they shouldn't is a new one for me.
Anyone had this before? Ideas as to which fuse & why powers the sunroof?

Are you sure it's a factory sunroof Sam?
It was only the ES model that was sold here with the factory electric roof & it had two fitted. There was the odd manual roof car here but not too many in the D1 update model.
All sunroofs leak to some extent but that's what the drains are there for. The water gets into the sunroof frame then down the drains.
Open the sunroof up & blow the drains out with compressed air - hopefully you should have 4 drains to check. Then try dribbling some water down them & see if you get wet patches near the wheels.

Cheers Scot,
I'll have another look again tomorrow. I only thought the sunroof was factory fitted as I've not found a separate manual in amongst all the rest of the paperwork I've got for just about everything.
Well, since the fuse I removed doesn't provide the power for the sunroof I'm guessing it does nothing at all at the moment then...
