    Swapping ECUs

    Can hotwire ECUs be swapped from one V8 D1 to another (both autos)? Is it just a matter of taking mine out and plugging another one in and that's it, or does the alarm, etc have to be reset?

    I think a 14CUX would be OK to swap.
    AFAIK the alarm is separate.
    I hope so as I have a spare ECU for my 92RRC which came out of a 93LWB and the seller reckoned he had started another car with it. LOL.

    Yes you can change them over without any issues. The 14CUX is only for the the EFi and not the alarm.
