Hello Dearot I bought a set in from Paddocks in the UK. Reasonable price and prompt service.

The 90 deg. hose off the turbo and the straight bit onto the I/C can be bought from any turbo or go faster retailer. They are stock, off the shelf items, IIRC 50mm ID.

The top one is a bit harder to find, unless you make one up out of two 45 deg. hoses and a straight bit of steel or aluminium tube between.

We just picked up the 2 lower hoses from the local "AutoBarn". (just generic silicone hoses)

$15 for the bottom hose (straight)
$45 for the 90 degree unit.

When we pulled the original lower one off, it looked like the old "chocolate starfish" on the inside.

Looks like they are different, and the OE part #'s are very different too.
FWIW Samco and SFS make probably the best silicon hose I know of.

do you see better performance with the stronger hoses?

    No.

I've had SFS hoses for a number of years. The only way you'll get better performance is if the OE ones have started to de-laminate internally. If they are still OK inside, even if they are soft, performance will be the same.

I don't completely agree with this.

Sure, if your hoses are delaminated you will see a big change no matter which new hoses you fit.

What if your hoses are soft and weak; won't some of the initial pressure from the turbo go into expanding the hoses ever so slightly?

So with softer hoses it will take slightly longer to reach the same pressure as with stronger hoses?

I know when I switched to silicon hoses, I'm sure the engine picked up quicker and just reved a little freer. I'm sure I'm not dreaming!
