Thread: Remote central locking which doesn't quite unlock

    3 of my 5 doors were doing teh exact same thing, so ordered from ebay. My only suggestion, is to also order the doorskin plugs as a few will break trying to get them off - the same guy who sells the springs, sells these plugs.

    The front doors are the hardest to replace as you have to lift the window frame, which is held in by hex type screws / bolts.

    Be prepared for a few scraped knuckles!

    But, once done, WELL worth the effort.

    Any other tips on changing them?

    Wot he said.
    The door plugs are available from Autobarn, its the springs I'm after. Are the front and rear door springs different?

    if you read the link I gave you it has the guys EMAIL in it he is the one that sells them on uk ebay that is where we got ours from!

    Failing that just search it on UK ebay...just type in discovery and spring
    Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
