Thread: Rear Oil Seal Cost

The Diesel rear engine main seal itself is $60 'ish (Don't know about the v8) - getting to it takes about 6 hours of work to R & R. Think about $600.

Or, for the home mechanic, two days of effort with the help of friends.

I think they all leak eventually, Mine does, such a hassel to fix, so I put up with the occasional drop hitting the dirt. would love to fix it, but will wait until I need a new clutch then it warrants the time and effort to replace it.
