    Cool 1994 D1 ES V8

I have spotted a clean looking D1 ES for sale for $5250. I will be taking it for a drive tomorrow...what should I be looking for?
Is there anything that will stand out?

park it facing down hill and then soak the roof. Everyone will be going wtf, but whenever I park mine facing downhill and it rains, my rear sunroof leaks

Tranny should engage quickly and shift smoothly.
All windows and sunroofs open and close.
Check all lights and actually all electrics work.
Check coolant colour(green) and smell oil, should not be burnt smell or too thick.
Check for major leaks of any kind, they all leak some, just no puddles.

How many K's, SERVICE BOOKS are a big bonus.

Take the rig for a drive.

Be prepared to spend some dollars on it, get full service etc.

If it feels good, all should be fine.
Its not green by any chance is it and on gas?
    Could be my old one.

Thanks to all that replied!! As it sits, I went for a more thorough look today....! Rust in moonroof (both sides), drivers side leather worn through, oil leakes for all areas under (not hard to fix ) but worst of all, evrything underneath was covered in rust!! Nothing has been changed or even cleaned after what looks like some pretty serious salt water work.
    .
    Thanks again...will keep looking

Just out of curiosity why do you need to check if this is full of silicon?
Rust? The only reason i ask is because today i siliconed my one up.
After the rain here in Melbourne my front carpet has become soaked
and every time i get in it i can hear the water squish.

You should probably lift your carpets up at some point and check for any rust
