    D1 300TDi Injectors

    Gday,

My Disco needs new injectors and was just wondering how do I tell which ones I need? I found Paddocks website and I guess their prices are acceptable but they list 4 different models of injectors.

How do I tell which I need and what is EDC?

    Regards,
    Matt

There are only two types of 300Tdi injectors, standard and EDC ones.
There are few to none EDC 300Tdi's in Oz.

The way to tell an EDC one is that one of the injectors will have a wire/s coming from it, and there is a control box rather than a diaphragm/mechanical boost compensator/aneroid on top of the injector pump.

<edit> oops, EDC = Electronic Diesel Control, or something like that.

I think it stands for Electronic Diesel Control.

It is an engine computer control system for the 300Tdi.

I don't think any new D1s in Australia were sold with it, so unless you have a special import, it is unlikely you have EDC.

Ah ok thanks for that. Pretty sure mine has no wires.
But looking at the Paddocks website, there is the 2 different injectors for the EDC cars. But there is also 2 variations for non-EDC. Unfortunately the website doesnt go into much detail as to where they are used etc...
