Thread: Engine Stutter From Take Off In Drive

    I just got more wiring instructions from that guy on how to wire the plug up.

    You have two options on connecting the new conversion lead.


    Option 1 - Connect the wires from the new lead straight across the ignition coil as follows.

    Blue & Red - Positive Terminal ( leave attached any other wires that connect to this terminal )

    Black & Grey - Negative Terminal ( leave attached any other wires that connect to this terminal )

    Green & White - Earth ( there is a male lucar connector attached to the distributor body behind the module which provides an earth )


    Option 2 - Cut the plug off the old lead and connect the wires in it to the ones in the new lead as follows,

    Blue & Red (new lead) connect to White (old lead)

    Black & Grey (new lead) connect to White & Black (old lead)

    Green & White - Earth (connect as in option 1)

    The distributor has arrived today but I will wait till the extension lead arrives which be at the end of the week with anyluck.

    I might open a new thread on replacing and upgrading the distributor.
