ARB number Bullbar -Where 2 fit number plate????, Also indicator heap please.

I bought a second hand ARB winch bar and after fitting it, I struck a problem , where the hell do you put your front number plate.
There is no room on the bar face as it cover the indicators,
Where do you guys with this bar fit it?

Also the Bar indicators, there is a plug at the end of the wiring, but were do you plug it into a disco, do I need to tap into the existing indicators or is there a dual plug type adapter so it plugs into the existing indicator plug?
    Thanks

You either, get one of those white skinny plates and fit it in the small gap just above where the winch fairlead goes
Or you could hang it on two bits of wire (or similar) strate from the bottam of the bar and allow it to pivet when (if) you hit something

    Probably other ways also

im ausming you have put a winch on, is your fairlead at the top or bottom space, you can make or buy brackets that allow the plate to be mounted over the fairlead than it lifts up like a hinge when you want to use the winch or you could mount it infront of the fairlead hold it on somehow iwth clevis pins than take the plate off when you head bush and you wont loose

No Winch yet, I have fastened it by drilling a couple of holes either side of the bottom cut out. I guess the flip up bracket will be the go when I get a winch.

There is a bracket that comes with the bar that bolts to the two little holes above the thinner slotted hole. It spaces the licence plate forward a bit to clear the winch control box and uses the bolt holes along the top of the licence plate.

The problem I have with it is that when you lean in to check out the engine you end up folding the plate edges in as the bracket only supports to the inner two of the four top holes. I'm going to put a piece of flat behind it to support it. One day anyway.

    Well actually there is.

This is an image by Pete "LR V8" but is my vehicle. I used the narrow NSW plates usually on sports cars, but the same system can be deployed with the regular plate obstructing a little to the airflow above the top of the main bar.

What you can't see is a bracket made out of 3mm aluminium 50mm wide and the width of the plate that has a couple of lugs that are bent over to pick up the top bolts of the winch.

BTW: the winch control box is concealed inside the back of the bar so as to not obstruct too much of the airflow and the plug is remove mounted above & to the RHS of the fairlead.

Klappers, since it appears you have the same bar, wondering if you have any problem with water sitting inside the bottom of the bar.

I noticed that I had Rain water sitting on the lower inside of the bar and thought that is definitely a rust out point. I thought of drilling a couple of holes underneath to let it drain out and may be coating it with lanosil or bituman paint??
