    Heat shield for second battery.

I'm looking for ideas on making a heat shield for the second battery, while in Lightning Ridge in January I managed to cook the second battery to the point were it was close to exploding. So I'm looking at deflecting some of the direct heat from the turbo. Any ideas? with pic's if possible.

I would suggest using some aluminiun sheet. You could use washers as spacers at the attchment points and use two layers to give an air space between them to stop radiated heat from the first one. If want to be sure stick some glass fiber insulation between them.

Use a shield over the top or do it like a D2 battery and close ot off
completely. Then feed cold air from the front with some ducting.
