    Post srs warning light

    my SRS warning light stays on a pulsates when moving. I have a 97 tdi.
    Where should i start to investigate.

    mate might seem strange but I'm getting my alternator done tomorrow and that was one of the symptoms, so might pay to get it checked ...otherwise it could be just a dirty connection, but will also effect you speedo , taco, temp g, abs, and anyother censer that needs power .....

    is ur speedo jumping all around the place as well, thats what mine was doing before the alt gave up the ghost.

    $1300 for an alternator , you got ripped off bad, they are only around $300 or so new.

    thats the current list price according to Anderson's in the bay here .....but there doing on for $595 + fitting ...my Bil also just he replaced on hi n$##%n pathooooder at around the same price ....so i don't know where your getting $300 from ...but if you have and are where the hell are you ?..

    mate in the uk you can buy upgraded alternators cheap. We brought off a bloke on ebay 120amp I think it was for the defender it was around 80pounds (160bux) 1300 mate I'm sorry but you WERE ripped If I had to find one tomorrow for my disco I reckon at such short notice perhaps not 300 but less than 5 for sure!

    Reckon it's more likely to be the rotary coupler behind the steering wheel.
    Mine has done this. Took it to a local LR dealer and they put the Testbook on it and told me there was an open circuit in the drivers airbag wiring system. Replaced the rotary coupler but am waiting to get a chance to get back and get the warning light reset.

    Mine was doing the same as yours. Pulsating on power up but after about 3-4 minutes it would go solid (not flashing) until ignition turned off.
    Mine is a 96 TDI dual airbags.
