What sort of meter? On a Tdi?
So disco went in to find out why both swivels were leaking a week after having the preload done
found out it must f been that the seals on the abs sensors were disturbed..
But while in I asked if they could look at the car as after having the timing belt done etc..the car felt sluggish.
before they looked at it I found the accelerator cable had come a little loose. we tightened it up a fraction and all was much better.
Still they put a meter on the car.....and low and behold the car was running really lean. something like 20:1 and it should be at about 14 something to 1
So all adjusted I cant say it has made a phenomenal difference how ever it is a little pokier off the line but more importantly it feels like its running just a bit smoother....So happy as long as those swivels dont start leaking again.

i think it measured exhaust gases a hole was drilled just below the manifold i cant remember what the meter is called but it was a dedicated one.
He said that when they tweak the pumps etc it takes the guess work out of it...rather than just tweaking and hoping.
the chart he showed me from the unit also showed the ratios for petrol and LPG too. So I'm guessing the unit can be used on all

If they leak you may need to replace oil with grease, although I much prefer to keep using oil and put up with a small leak.
