Thread: 300 TDI Soft in the head

Motor has been running fine since the head was changed.Can't say I noticed any improvement in performance,would not expect any as it was the standard head[though later design]not Turners improved head which I believe is gas flowed etc.Other work on the motor was the usual 300tdi stuff,vacuum pump.oil cooler pipes,injector pump spindle & cover seals and P gasket of course!Oh,and cambelt kit as history unknown.

well I have ordered the AMC performance head(spanish made) as a replacement from Turner ( fyi Land Rover engine parts from Turner Engineering online store including cylinder heads, pistons, V8 ductile iron flanged linered block castings ). They really are helpful and very professional. they already have my head shipped and I only ordered it an hour ago ...this sort of service is very rare ime.

I will let you know the outcome etc.. of the new performance head once arrived and fitted.
