Indicator light (on dash) working intermittently

    Hi all,

Recently purchased my first Disco (1993 TDi), and am very happy with it.

The only problem that I cant sort out is the dash light for the indicators only works intermittently. (The light that has the "<>" symbol).

The trailer light flashes once (from what I've read, it is supposed to) when turning on either indicator, but the actual indicator light either doesn't work, or works sometimes.

Before I pull the dash apart looking for a loose connection to the bulb, does anyone have any other ideas as to what may be the cause?

My classic RR has a similar problem & it's basically the same dash as yours.
The legs on the globe holder loose contact at times so you need to remove the back cover & then you can get to the globes. Retension the legs & you should be OK.

Damn, so I'll have to muck around behind the dash after all...

I'll consult the Haynes manual first and if it's too much of a hassle (EG: more than an hour's work) it can be left as is for a while.

    Ta for the advice.
