    Meh, my run in procedure was, 3km, replace blown head gasket, do 200ish km's then tow an 830kg trailer to sydney to tow a range rover with 400chev, PTO winch and heaps of weight back again

    so with the head gasket going after they put one on are you suposed to pay again for that???

    He probably did the rebuild himself. Therefore, one can only blame oneself.

    Rebuild??? Pfft, it is a 4BD1, probably found it lying in a paddock and just bolted it up, filled her with oil and diesel and thar she goes!

    Was purchased rebuilt, from 3rd party, so I wasn;t going to make them liable, as not to know and these things happen, end of the day, even after replacing the head gasket, I'm still more than happy
