i wounder if its due to an higher then normal pressure problem within the motor????
maker sure the oil pressure relif valvs are working proper

hi guys i have a constant problem with the rocker cover gasket i have changed it about 3 times now and after a month or so it starts to leak oil. it always seems to leak about the same place just above fuel pump area . i have tightened it to specificatins tried silicone nothing seems to work should i look for another rocker cover etc any help would be appreciated

thanks for your info do i need to go to mechanic to check the oil pressure relief valves or can i check these myself thanks for your advise i recently had to replace the head gasket
id get a mechanic on to look a it i dont know if yours has one or two valvs?
i know of the one in the timing case i think? not 100%
my old 60seires cruiser has 2 very cheap to replace one was in the timming case and ther other on the oil filter housing on the sid eof the motor or where the filter screws 2
the rocker cover is bolted through the center and over time they bend in and you cant get enough tensoin on the outer rubber gasket, so what you do is remove it, turn it upside down and pop the center back out!. hope this helps, Land-e
