Do you have a separate cradle for your winch mounted further back under the front ? If so it is multi drilled and should fit most warn low mounts, i have an M8000 on mine.

no i have not goten my winch mounting kit yet, aperently there is a mounting kit from arb ? i dident know it would be as complacated i cant seem to find a form of winchs that fit the bull bar, im happy to get one i dont know what wich to buy. i see your 8000 winch is 53 cm long the xp 9.5 is 58 cm long. i wonder if i should take the bar off and drag it to arb to slap a winch in it to see if it lines up. we have our disco in shed doing a huge engnin rebuild so its not moble at the moment. just working out a loan to get lockers and a winch. thanks for you help, i have the warn catalog hear and im going to highlight the m8000 how do you like it so far ? cheers. thumbs up.

Your bar should be the same so the winch doesnt bolt to the bar but to the separate cradle, it works so cant say any more than that. I dont have any good pics otherwise i would add one.

Here is my bar (bit dirty from last weekend), 2nd pic shows where the solenoid pack goes apparently (still to refit mine) 3rd shows where the winch/cradle is mounted.

Also note that i need to re spool the cable so that it spools off the top of the drum not below as it currently is.

gee that would be a good photo to see, just my luck they arnt loading ! the thread shows a white box with a red x in the middle but when you right click to open it wont load. maby it will come up later. so this may sound like a dumb question but is a winching cradle just a steel plate with off set bolt holes.

P.S. If you find the alternating case and missing "a" problematic, you now know how I feel about all lower case text and missing letters (TXT speak) feels to me!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

The ARB cradle is made to bolt the chassis and slide between the bar mounts, basically shaped like this [____] looking from side on that mounts upside down and has multiple holes for different winches. If you dont to fork out the $$$f or the ARB one you could have one made at a steel place for bugger all.
