    I agree with phils response.

Reasons I chose the Detroit (no-Spin) locker for the rear:

    1. Very robust, they are also used in trucks and racing cars (this has been the case for decades)
    2. Fully automatic - install and forget, simple design, less to go wrong
    3. Always locked when traveling in a straight line - great when towing a heavy caravan

Cautions: In delicate positions in the bush, you have to be aware not to run too much power at take off, as both rear wheels spin. When this happens, there is a tendency to slide sideways.

I have had them in a HT GTS350(Oldsmobile diff.), 1970 Dodge Challenger, three way No-spins in Rockwell SSHD's under a White Road Boss. Never a problem. Early ones rattled a bit when negotiating slow tight turns as the dog clutches slipped over each other. Awesome performers compared with limited slip diffs.

Would have to agree with all the above - fit and forget, almost unbreakable (ie you would have to try pretty hard). They used to have a 100,000 mile warranty - not sure about now. Mine is fitted to a Ford 9" 31 spline F100 diff in my 302 engined 2A Station wagon built up in 1975. It's way out of warranty.

All you have to watch is that your tyres have the same tread and rolling circumference (tyre pressure related) or the vehicle will wander a bit. If it starts wandering check your tyre pressures - even a few pounds may make a difference.

Also if the diff casing is bent they will disengage - bang, etc. Usually this indicates a bent or over-tolerance axial misalignment.

No problems with mine so far. Can't hear it, it doesn't cause any of the other problems mentioned above, and it appears to be fool proof.

Mine cost $810 which included about $140 shipment from America and we fitted it ourselves.

Ranga, Supply & fit by Diff Lapping in BrisVegas would cost about $1500 drive-in/drive out. Good thing about local supply and fit, you are covered for any issues. Give them a call to confirm price.

    Aus $900 to your door.

I had a TrueTrack fitted to the front by a diff specialist (D & R Differentials - Chipping Norton, NSW) it greatly reduced the backlash.
