thats what I was looking for. I was thinking about pulling it out tommorow and drilling and tapping a 3/16 hole and fitting my own adjustment to the said plate, yours is a kiss method.

Blaze, I had to glue and zip tie a piece of rubber against the contact metal that was about 4mm thick to take the 'slack'. Workes great now, door opens fine without having to fully extend the door flap all the way back to almost breaking point.
I too was a little perplexed as to why theres not adjustment there.
