Some of the after market stereos have a security thing were you have to insert a purpose made metal sleeve about the size of point file down each side of the stereo which releases it from the cradle that is screwed in to the dash.
Gazz
got the keys didnt work still stuck its getting very anoying ill start again tomorow
You can try 2 thin plastering tools ( I do not know what they are called) and slide them down each side at the same time. Then you try to pull the unit out.
There are often tabs that you bend on the frame before you insert the stereo and they need to be held back in order to side the stereo out.
For a better explanation have a look at the instructions for your new stereo, it will tell you what they did when they installed the old one.
thanks everyone got it with a cold chissle and ac mash hammer came out easy now got the dvd fitted
Good work!! Are you a farmer??![]()
I can't believe it was so hard to get out.....
perhaps it was glued in like topgear did to the buttons of captain slows 17year old puller
