    From Rangie to Disco

Hi all, just new to this site

Have owned a string of Range rovers, the last 1 being a 1989. found one of the most common probs with these was rusted floor pans. got tired of looking for one with a good floor pan
So Have just perchased a 1994 discovery.
Was wondering if there is anything i should be checking out or to look for.
    Thanks Luke

    Hey Luke,

Welcome mate, heaps of free advice here just ask.....

    Petrol or deisal mate....?

I would check when the timing belt was last done. If in doubt do it or get it done I say. Cheep maintenance. Mine broke cost $1500.

Great car though, I love it.

    Good luck

    Jay

Yes i read a thread about the timing belt thanks, think it was your's
    It's a 3.9 petrol/LPG
Very suprised to read, most engines set up for a timing belt have factory clearance for piston/valves

Yeah rust can still be an issue in the discos, the 2 main places to look are the driver and passangers footwell (can be caused by blocked aircon drains), and the alpine windows.
Other than that still some typical niggles (door locks, window regulators) but generally no huge drama, and the V8 are a chain timing so no issue with the timing belt there.
