Thread: Air Onboard for 300 TDI

Do you have any pic's of how the belt is set up to take drive? I'd be keen to see how you decided to do it. I have been thinking about the easiest way to do it ... cheers

But I feel that you are all talking about something here separate to Air Conditioning! Like why do you need the tank??
Can someone fill me in and allow me to join the club??

he has modified it so the compressor fills the tank with air so when you let your tyres down when off roading, you can then pump them back uop really quick where you stopped due to the stored air in the vehicle..

Saves driving to the servo on semi flat tyres.....also means you can pump up air beds when camping real quick to

Madana, I would be interested in throwing some cash at you for a set-up like yours in kit form for my 300tdi disco.

Product will be ready to hit the market very soon. Compressors have been tested and now lasercutting is ready to pickup for compressor modifications.
I have actually got the compressor working so minimal lubricant is being passed through the system and compressor temperatures are good.
System has been running in my car for nearly a year now with no problems to the engine or mounting system and so far the compressor system has compressed air for over 17hrs.
I am working from Braeside (VIC) everyday so if anyone wishes to take a look let me know.

Not being familiar with the layout of the 200Tdi, is that the original spot for the AC compressor, if so how do you keep the AC functional, if not where's the AC compressor mounted, I am sure there are a few folks with V8's who would like this.

It sits next to the A/C compressor

I can only see one compressor in the picture.

Had a look at my parts CD, I see that the AC compressor is hiding under the plastic cover, out of sight, good to have a pic from the top, I am only asking as it looks a very neat installation.
