    fuel regulator hose

Was helped out by tank yesterday on a stray hose off the fuel regulator , now iknow it goes to the stepper plate . Does it go to the bottom nipple on the plate or the top one? just want to be sure i have both small hoses on the plate in the correct position.
With the fuel reg hose not being connected what probs would this course?

There are only 2 hoses (on mine anyway 93 V8i) on the stepper valve, 1 is a large dia. (approx. 13mm ID) hose that connects to the plenum inlet just behind the throttle body. Second hose is a small dia. (3 to 4mm ID) which goes from the stepper valve body plate to the fuel regulator, you may wish to check the tightness of the 3 allen head bolts that hold the stepper to the plenum, they have a bad habit of coming loose, Regards Frank.

ok thanks Frank , all the hex bolts are tight just had it all off and put a new stepper gasket on, cleaned stepper and all surrounds useing crc co contact cleaner, when i removed the hex bolts to change gasket i removed the large hose and a small hose(small hose from outlet or nipple on top of cover) the smallhose ran to the drivers side to a light blue plug. bottom nipple on cover had no hose at all, so i take it that the fuel reg hose goes there ? like i said earlier just want hoses in right place.

dwhat does the hose to the drivers side do?

Have no idea what your third hose does, as I said mine has only 2 hoses, maybe someone with your model may be able to help, Regards frank.

There was a mod to that plate and 1 hose should go to the charcoal canister for evaprortive emissions. it was to prevent stalling when hot

thanks very much woko , just hope i have the two small hoses on the right connector nipple now ? fuel regulator on bottom one at moment and hose to cannister on top . is it going to make a difference if they are around the other way i wonder....

While in Toowoomba today i thought i,d drop by landrover and ask one of the mechanics about my problem with the hoses .

Apparently the two small hoses that attach to the stepper plate are 1. fuel regulator hose(which i did,nt even know was,nt connected, until a fellow aulro user gave some advice)
    2. Hose for heater , runs up from stepper plate to heater switch(tap) on drivers side .

Apparently it does not make a difference what nipple on the stepper plate they are connected to, top or bottom .My fuel regulator hose was,nt in good nick so replaced it and hopefully all is ok now (theres those famous last words).
