It won't be the dizzy, don't move it! Prob an air leak into plenum somewhere, check all the breather hoses etc, and check the stepper motor for tightness (stepper motor itself & also the mount flange-3 hex head bolts).

explaine that motor thingy a bit more for me

all i did was undo the 6 hex bolt to pull off the top half of throttle bod and inleet stuff to undo the water thingy that sits under the throttlre bod as it was rusted out and leaking

The stepper motor is a black cylinder shape that screws into the plenum chamber at the rear driver's side of the plenum. It controls idle speed by means of a needle valve which moves in & out, thereby allowing more or less air into the plenum, thus altering idle speed. However, as you have removed the plenum top, I still would bet you have an air leak into the plenum somewhere - did you fit a new gasket?

I think this will be the prob aswell. Still pull the stepper and clean it with carbie cleaner.

simple item to clean first , rather than taking stepper motor off.

Clean the Tpiece in the vacum line coming off the plenum chamber. This gets fogotten about and fills with carbin. Take it off and spray some carby cleaner through it is it a very fine hole in it.

Give that a go it is much easier to do that than take stepper motor off. Cleaning stepper wont help.
