    What, one of these,

LAND ROVER DISCOVER 1+2 ROOF LIGHTING BAR - eBay, Land Rover, Car Parts, Vehicle Parts Accessories. (end time 19-Nov-09 20:23:10 AEDST)

This is the quote for postage,

The shipping to Australia would be very expensive. The weight is 7kg but the dimensional weight is twice that. It would cost around £130 ($260) approximately

may be cheaper to get 2-3 at once, if you can not find one in Australia.
If I can get 2 people that want one, I will get them.
after pricing Rhino bars, this looks like a cheaper option.
with 3 from the UK, I believe they would be under $200
I did see one on Ebay Aus go for over $200

    Hey Mick,
i used the original roof bars with a couple of small 'L' brackets from Bunnings to stop it moving around. I have found that it is far enough back on the roof so that you dont get glare off the bonnet.

    Cheers

Cause the council haven't replaced the poles for street signs yet

I agree make one, it's a lot cheaper. Mines a rhino rack modified to suit the lights, only downside is the lights are inverted and water used to get in until I drilled drains in the casings

I'd hate to own one of those roof bars.

i've done a fair amount of bush work at night with roof lights (not on the disco) and always had glare problems if they are mounted to far forward.

Having them sitting that far forward will cause problems.
Ovbiously the light design is a key point, but you need to run slim style lights and they will reflect off the bonnet & / windscreen.

    Cheers
    Dave.
