    Hi All

    Hi Guys,

I have just "inherited" a 95TDi manual. Funny old cars these things, I seriously cant beleive that they can go as well as what they do with only a 2.5! Anyway, was just curious as to how many kms all your donks have done to date. This thing is up to 295k, runs like a dream though.

At present it has an old ARB Bullbar, 240 Blitz Lightforce spots, Safari Snorkel, Dual Batts, everything else is standard.

Looking into lifts at present, a 2" or maybe 80 series springs once I get more info. And looking around at the different posts to make final decision on tyres, am hoping I will be able to stay with 265/75/16s as they are the most commonly available, had them on my old Prado and they were a good size.

Overall though, it will be a great car to get down to the water and dive or fish, that is of course if she doesnt kick the bucket!

Anyway, will talk to you all at some stage soon.

    Brett

Further to my last, I have searched the site and have come up with several conclusions to off set or BS for 15" wheels. Can someone that is currently running 31x10.5x15 tell me what offset or BS they are using, preferabally on a sunraysia type steel wheel. As I have the opportunity to pick up some unwanted 31x10.5x15 MTs.

    Cheers again.

Mines the older 200tdi, it has done only 270k, torquey as hell, and runs like it left the factory yesterday. I think the general concensus is a well looked after Tdi should do half a million clicks with few problems.

I am also running 31's on 7JJ 13p rims (I assume that means 13mm positive offset) and aside from a camel cut, I see no problem running them.

    Cheers,

I detest dealing with wheels, all this offset and backspace stuff is very confusing for me. I got confused with my 4Runner, my TJ, my Prado and now this.

I will post some pics when I clean her up too.

this may help so negative offset sets the rim out more
which helps with balance (makeing the car wider) and steering lock

positive offset pushes the rim in thurther

Ah nice diagram, clear as mud! Thanks heaps.

Are there many TDis out there running 32s or 265/75s?
Do they have enough grunt to push em along?
