240k seems like a fair bit for that price. My '95 has only done 140k and is insured for about that.

Has it got the service records? By now it'll be well overdue for a new cam and lifters, timing chain and top end overhaul. Check for any cooling / head gasket problems too. The auto V8s are nice to drive and make a wonderful sound and IME are fairly reliable.

If in good nick it could well be worth it.
80L size is 64L actual and you will be using around 20-30L/100 depending on state of tune, tyres fitted and driving style.
History is a must and get it checked over by a Landy mechanic.

Just a though for you. You can pick up V8 Disco's quite cheap without Gas fitted. You would be better off buying a good condition low km's one and convert it to gas your self. With the Gov grant it wouldn't cost you more than $2000 for a good setup. This way you know the engine has not done a lot of work on gas and should be in better condition. It is very common to find late model V8 around $3000 or less as some people cant off load them due to fuel costs. Good luck it your search, they are a nice car to drive if they are issue free.

Its very similiar to my setup. but has 45 k extra on it.

I have a 85 usable tank in the back, with a custom setup over it for storage.

I get around 19-20l when driving normally out of the gas (mixer style).
Is my 2nd d1 and consider them reasonable reliable. Both have benn converted and love the cost of gas.

You wont find one for 3k thats of any decent quality.

If the LPG is working fine, and it drives fine on both ulp and lpg, definately consider it. It might sound a tad high, but if its been loved, its likely worth it.
And of course negotiate!
