Thread: 6 seater D1 ?? is there such a beast?

    6 seater D1 ?? is there such a beast?

    Has anone every heard of mounting a side facing (any configuration acceptable ) seat into the cargo hull of a D1 ( 1998 )? If not, how many ockie straps will I need to secure my 13 year old boy to the roof?? Any help would be good.

    You do realize they came in a 7 seat version with 2 side facing seats ?

    And the mounting points are behind the panels in the rear area. The two extra seats and seatbelts just bolt in those spaces on each side of the car.

    i think the others answered your other question
    and to the occy straps you'll need 10 but if you use rachet straps youll only need 2 off them if not have you thought about a tralor with a cage for him

    They also came in 6 seaters. Mine has a seat on one side and a pocket on the other. He would want to be a small 13 year old though.

    So does my 96 Disco,

    But on the compliance plate (top of LH front gaurd) it states 7 seater,

    My compliance plate says it is a 6 seater. Although it is a 5 seater these days.

    Scouse could probably answer for sure but i'd say both of your cars have had 1 seat removed as i doubt LR would sell them with only 1 seat in the rear when they were sold as a 7 seater.
