    Accelerator Pedal Problem..Me's Think!!!

After putting in a second hand injector pump and picking my 300Tdi from the spanners he asked me if my accelerator pedal was always this hard which i told him yes it was and sometimes it was fine. After he sprayed some wd to tube the cable it seemed alot more looser than it was before but told me to change it over for a newy which i did. Once i installed the new cable she was running like a dream, soft pedal and great smoothness in the pedal. After about 3 to 4 weeks it seems to have gone back to how it was, hard and have to plant it to get any where.

Could things go wrong in the actuall pedal its self to cause this problem. just today have put some wd in the new cable so see how it goes.

You could always ask Toyota, they seem to be the world leader in throttle problems at present

Is the cable kinked or catching on something?
Cant imagine it would be full of grunge in that short a time.
(I'm no expert - just guessing)

Nahh sleepy all is fine with the cable. Can you tell if there is a kink in it? Seems all fine and dandy. Haven't really done any heavy mud work to get it full of mud.

This may sound really lame but check around the peddle for any obstruction.

However the other thing to really consider is the cable has stretched and needs to be tightened up a little bit.

had to read that a couple of times.......

Driving my car is an experience that can't be bought or bribed with beer.

But of course you can have a drive .................... for FREE.

At least that will be one way to make you happy with your car .

Nothing lame about that mate any suggestion is a good one. Have checked under there and even put some wd on it just in case but all is good under the pedal it's self.
