Angry Now Here is a Dumb Problem

I was just working on my disco when the Fan inspection Cover Clip snapped the plastic when refitting it.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this one??? I hate plastic!!

    thanks in advance

I've fixed many plastic things using a soldering iron. You use it as a hot knife and run it along the crack and melt it together and smooth it over. With a bit of practice you can get a neet job. It does wreck the tip though if you dont give it a good clean afterwards. Alternatively you could pop rivet some thin sheet metal across to crack.

Yes this is a stupid clip and it is common for it to break. a new fan shroud cover is about $30.

    Thanks guys!!

I tried the melting of the plastic with the soldering iron but all I did was melt the plastic.
At the end I got some Gaffa tape and taped in place which should work for a while.
Being a muso, gaffa tape is great for everything! It's a bit like an aspirin for a headache.
