to remove the CV from the axle (assuming you mean the side that goes to the diff)
clamp the axle in a vice with the CV hanging downwards under the vice ( Invite me around for a laugh or double check to make sure your vice is well mounted and your table is secure and cant fall over)
Cut a lump of hardwood to fit around the axle and over the CV
Grab the BIG NFA smackometer and hit the thing downwards.
watch your feet, when they come off they come off in a hurry.

Yeh, I meant remove the diff side axle from the cv, so that it can be interchangeable either side.
By "Cut a lump of hardwood to fit around the axle and over the CV" you mean, use a piece of wood
as a drift to belt with a hammer to knock down the cv from the axle.
So there are no clips or anything, fairly straight forward? That would be great.
