    It was me Rabbits.
Remove the Radiator yourself, take it to a radiator place, they will remove the tanks and rod the existing rods in your radiator, they are the water passages. In other words they poke a rod down them and unblock them, then resolder the tanks back on. Should be around $90-$100 for the job.

Hi rabbit, having your radiator rodded means you take the radiator out and take it to a radiator repairer, they remove the end tanks and push rods down the channels and then flush to clean all the build up and muck out. Then the solder the tanks back on and presure test it. If your radiator is not rotted away it gives it a new lease on life. While your at it flush the engine, pipes and heater core then put a new thermistat and coolant. I just had mine done for $80 but can range for there to $150. It's a lot cheaper than a new radiator. Also look at the Viscous Fan as I also had to do that as well and all these car are getting older now.

    Cheers, David.

Where can you get this done for around the $100-$150 near the city. Ive been to 2 places in south Melbourne and both have said over $400 which is not far off a new radiator.

I got mine done at Essendon Radiator Services for $80. He was very helpful and new Land Rovers. He does the radiators for Romsey Land Rover. He's at 29 Moore Road Airport west. Call Dave on 9338 4642. This price was taking the radiator out myself and taking it to him.

I am not affiliated with them, just got good service and passing on info to help others.
    Cheers, David.

Maybe they are getting confused and thinking you mean recore and they quote accordingly.
You only want a clean out, maybe rodding is not a term used by all radiator shops.
