Standard or modified D1??
I'm running 285/75's on my D1, but I have a 2 inch body lift and 80 series suspension, and have cut guards. There is ****loads of room, so I'm hoping to go 36's or 37's in the next couple of months.
dose any body know if i can fit 285 /75/16 B.F Goodrich A/t's on a disco 1

Sure they can be made to fit, will mean suspensionand or body lift, camel cut rear guards etc.
It will change speedo readings, put lots of strain on running gear and engine will really have a bit of work.
Apart from that its all good.
On long trips however you may struggle to get spare tyres at isolated places though.
They can be flown or trucked in but at a cost.
Big tyres will give better ground clearance though.
Hope that helps.
I had 33s on my disco, chopped guards and flares, i-inch spring lift and that's all. Very minor rubbing (VERY MINOR) and great centre of gravity
