What winch in ya ARB ?

    Hi guys,

Just looking at new winches as I would like to put a "nice" one in the ARB, obviously its designed around the XD 9000, but looking at other options as well,

So wondering has anyone got a Warn XP 9000 fitted ?

Superwinch EP9 in it ? the super winch is about 1.5" longer than a warn coz of the gearbox brake (which I like), so wondering if there is still room to fit one in the tray ?

My ARB is a pre-facelift D2 one (not in my hands yet but sooooon!!!), dunno if it makes a difference, prolly not.

    Thanks for any info.

A 'Come Up Winch DV-9000' (sold in Oz as Premier winch) are a good choice.

    And 9500XP warn wont fit....

Anything longer than the XD9000 on the Drivers side wont fit....

    Hi mate,

I have a 99' D2 with an ARB bar - have fitted a Premier 9000, so far so good. Would also have a serious look at the (Australian branded) Terrain Tamer 9500 water resistant model. Mate has one on a Patrol - goes great guns + 3yr warranty. I am looking at fitting one these to one of my other fourbys.

4wd Action did a comprehensive winch comparison a year or so ago. The Premier winch was one of the best performers, if not the best. I have a Warn Magnum winch. Its crap but I can't afford to replace at the moment.
