    God I hope this is it for a while....

    About 18 months ago I had the transmissinon rebuilt, CDL put in (yeah..the whole thing), reco'd front shaft (2nd time after the first one broke in peak hour Sydney traffic!) and various other stuff including a reco rear diff....lets call it ok at $7k.
    I hope to pick up the bloody vagrant next week..... reco'd transfer case, new radiator, and f & r lockers (yep...the LR ones are stuffed again....call it bad luck but really haven't put these through any hell at all).
    Don't know the bill yet but if I get out for under $7k I reckon I'll have a party.
    This will need to be the end, or I reckon the love affair will be over.

    don't despair i to have had the empty your pockets fairy visit, put my D2a V8 in for a running gear oil change & $3.5k later all is good again i hope.

    Mate, I'd be querying that bill, $1000 max for all oils and filters change service and that includes labour.

    Yeah BigT....what else did they do for $3,500? More than an oil change I'm thinking.

    Hi Guys
    sorry so long getting back.
    had coolant leak from heads, so heads off water pump out ,low water alarm fitted, got it back then o2 sensor playing up,this was not what i wanted 2weeks out from holidays.
    so just did flying trip west to east and back, towing a great big fuel sucking wind sock into a head wind(10 x 6 enclosed trailer) when we left thursday before easter , 3 days Geraldton to Tamworth, fuel consumption started at 31L/ 100Km and gradually got better by Kimba in SA(that's where the wind stopped), so now i just about own all of BP and half of Caltex. so averaged 23L/100Km for whole trip being close enough to 10,000 km in 2 weeks, now to go thru and change all the oils again, the only trouble had over the trip was losing # plate & someone lost the hook off there winch which flicked up and took out my trailer plug.
