All fitted up, A quick easy job thanks to the great posts to AULRO on "how to"
Decided to re-level the rear SLS side to side ... was sitting a tad low on the rhs. Using the Nanocom to buzz UP the rhs, until it was the same height as the lhs (485mm measured), then lowered the lhs & rhs, side by side (1x each), and presto! 471/472mm both sides (factory is 473mm +/-15mm). Stored ride heights and is all good to go.
What I believe I have discovered, is that the ride height sensor readings are different for both sides on the Nanocom. (SLS Inputs) LHS says 188, RHS says 155 ???, but the Disco is sitting level ... ?? Stored heights read 188 (Read Settings) both sides.
I think I see why ... using the 100x100mm SLS height calibrating blocks, tells the SLS ECU that at that height (100mm blocks inserted), calibrate the sensor readings at that height as level... but the sensors don't both read the same, and don't have to ... so it takes that reading as the calibration ... if that makes sense ? ... and interperets the readings individually from the LH & RH and uses that calibration setting to level the rear suspension ... meaning the sensor outputs never match! .... and I have been thinking I had a faulty ride height sensor as the actual readings on each side differed all the time ... anyone else concur ?
And here's a couple of pic's of the failed air spring, and the loaner. You can see the failed spring is delaminating radially around the webbing ... the leak is out of the short split on the rhs of the photo, and only opens up when the vehicle leans/rocks or sits slightly to one side.
