Question Anyone in Canberra with a 'G' code locknut remover ?

    Hi Gang,

As per the title, I need to remove my 'G' code lock nuts. I have standard replacements to go on, so I just need the remover for a few minutes - no need to take it away.

    Thanks,

    Pete

    H, sorry.
Bundalene tends to have a few of these sorts of things, might be worthwhile pming him.
Other than that, a grip wrench?

yeah, had thought about brute force.... probably work too, but I keep on picturing a stud flying across the driveway

A stillson would do it.... but I don't have one of them... I'll give the lock wrench a try in the morning.... perhaps with a bar sleeved over the end to get better purchase

    Cheers,

    Pete

I went and bought an elcheapo stillson from bunnings - did the trick..... really chews up the lock nuts though aye

Another question - my spare for the time being is on a steel rim, held onto the carrier by nuts for the alloy..... can you use the alloy nuts on the steel rim when its used as a road wheel ?
