Do you intend to tow a fair bit? If yes, what?

Touring or rock crawling or a bit of both?

I had BFG A/Ts and really liked them; I was going to get BFG M/Ts next but got a set of 2nd hand Cooper STs on the cheap. After these I think I'll go back to BFG M/Ts. After the 2" lift, I would look at 235/85R16 or 265/75R16 (but this will alter your gearing a bit so your speedo will be out, it will feel a bit doughier, and your fuel consumption may suffer a bit too. I have 265/75R16 and I'm hoping a Tombie remap will address the power and fuel issues when the finances are approved).

I have a GME UHF and I'm happy with it. But in my last car I had a Uniden and was happy with that... personal preference here I'm afraid.

Spotlights - again personal preference. I have IPF 900 (because they were free). They work for me. My advice for spotlights is..... round ones. I reckon they throw better light.

Hi Mate,
The tyre question will usually start an interesting debate, everyone has a different opinion, general rule I always use is you get what you pay for. Both BFG and Cooper tyres are good, what tread pattern you require depends where you drive most. I run Cooper ST's 245/75R16 and am generally pleased with them although next time I'll go a more aggressive pattern because my D2 is more of a weekend toy for me. BFG's new mud terrain tyre is an excellent choice if your driving is more off road biased. For suspension I got my gear through suspension stuff, they had good prices, great service and fast delivery. I have a 7 seater so I have Tombie's sls lift kit plus 2" dobinson's coil on the front and Bilstein shocks all around, this is a premium choice. Dobinsons coils I have found to be great and my mate runs them on his 80 series and is very pleased. EFS make good shocks if you have a full coil set up. Stick to round driving lights if possible because they have the best light output. Buy a slimline UHF radio and stick it in your map pocket above your sun visor, there's a couple of links on here that show this. I hope this info helps

I will mainly be on road, but plan to be out atleast every 3rd weekend. Mud tyres won't suit me, im not going out enough, so A/T is the way to go. I was thinking BF Goodrich but as to what size I am not sure. I want it road worthy, and I don't want to add guards/flares or change gear ratios. Perhaps 235/85R16?? I'm not too sure.

Towing - No

Will definetely be going for round spotties. I don't as yet have a bullbar, which may be coming later on down the track. Where would you recommend mounting?
