TD5 Stalling, then no start.
Hi all,
On thursday after work a got about 500m from the job and my D2 Td5 Auto started to splutter. Ipulled over just in time and it stalled. I turned the ignition off for a couple of minutes then turned to on. I could not hear the fuel pump. ( i had a new pump sender unit thing fitted approx 6 months ago).
I left the ignition on and gave the fuel tank a few steel caps boots. After doing so i could hear the pump start up but not to its normal tune.
I limped the car to the mechanics and they tested the fuel pressure (4bar) and had a look but couldn't fault it again. the computer did read 3 codes. 1st turbo over boosting. 2nd injctor 3 open and 3rd air flow not reading right or something along those lines. off i went.
But alas, today same thing, stalled whilst driving and wouldn't start. When trying to crank over after about 5 secs the 3 amigos said hi. turned off then on again, i then took the worlds rage out on the fuel tank and hey presto the car finally starts.
Can someone please help, we are heading around this awesome country of ours in 10 weeks and i don't want it to come up again
Thanks in Advance
Adam
